Several dairy producers around the United States are being sued for unlawfully killing more than 500,000 dairy cows in order to increase the price of milk.

The dairy producers involved in the scheme must now pay a $52 million settlement to all consumers who purchased their overpriced milk.

If you bought dairy products (milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, or cream)  at any point since 2003, you may be eligible to receive a cheque worth $20; schools and other entities are eligible for amounts up to $400.
